Quarrington Hill
• Start at the Farm entrance on RHS going uphill at base of hill. Minor road that leaves A688 near Bowburn and goes roughly south east to the village of Quarrington Hill.
• The hill steepens on gradient and also curves to the left and then right (Riders take CARE).
• Road levels out a bit
• Finishes with steeper climb to finish outside Heather Lad pub.
Safety notes:
• Vehicles of competitors / officials / marshals / helpers to be parked safely and without hindrance to other road users.
• The steepest part of the course is under tree cover and can be slippery, keep some weight over the back wheel!
Riders:
• No warming up on the hill after 10.55
• Numbers and signing on will be at Heather Lad until 10.50 then will be moved to start.
• Get clear of finish before pulling into area at front of pub.
• Take care when descending to start, there are no downhill prizes in this event!
• Drivers please try and get to event before 10.50 as road is narrow. There is plenty of scope for warming up away from event.
