Car Parking In order to keep the traffic running through Little Longstone with ease, please park in the field where instructed. Cost per car is £1.50 and only a 1 minute walk from the signing on area. It is very important that you park here to ease congestion and distress to the local residents. All proceeds from the car park will be donated to the Little Longstone Chapel. The car park will be clearly sign posted. If leaving the car park on your bike, please give way to cars at the entrance. PLEASE DONT CLIMB OVER ANY STONE WALLS AS THEY ARE VERY FRAGILE Important - Please note: This event is to be run on a fully closed road within the picturesque Peak District. The road will be closed from 9:30am and re-opened at 3:00pm. The start area may be used by the house on route and the whole climb is open to emergency vehicles, if so a marshal will advise accordingly. If you do see a car approaching the start/finish area, it will be authorised to use the road by a marshal, please do not think otherwise and give way. Please respect the local residents. Anyone caught directing anger towards any road users will be removed from the event. The event organisers have spent hours negotiating the road closure so please treat the whole area with the respect it deserves. WE DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THIS EVENT. Please descend to the start when advised to do so by the chief marshal. When making your way to the start proceed down the hill with caution. STOP and wait at the end of the barriers and go to the start once directed by the marshal. At the START riders MUST NOT stand in the roadway. No U turns WHATSOEVER within sight of the start. No warming up on the course after the event has started and no warming up on the diversion route up Haydale. STANDARD HARD SHELL HELMETS MUST BE WORN BY JUNIORS AND UNDER 18's. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Reserves - Please sign on before the event starts and you will be advised by the signing on team of your start time when known.
