EVENT HEADQUARTERS: ADMIRALTY PARK, STATION ROAD, HOLTON HEATH BH16 6HX.
From Bakers Arms Roundabout on A35 take the A351 towards Wareham, straight on at the first rbt then LEFT at the next set of traffic lights into Station Road. HQ is approximately half a mile down Station Road on the left (2nd Gateway). HQ OS SY943909.
Numbers and signing on will be at the HQ, parking, refreshments and toilets will be at the HQ. Numbers can be exchanged for a drink at the HQ.
The start is approximately 1.5 miles from the HQ - right out of HQ, straight on at traffic lights then via Organford to the crossroads at the A35 (take care crossing the A35 please).
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY
Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
In accordance with Regulation 15, ALL JUNIOR competitors must wear Protective Hard Shell Helmets.
It is recommended that a WORKING REAR LIGHT, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active while the machine is in use.
Keep clear of the timekeepers at the start and finish. Times will only be available at the HQ.
1. Riders must not make U-turns on the A35 or at the start and finish.
2. No warming up on the course
3. No stopping at finish, return to HQ
4. Approaching Bakers Arms roundabout from Upton, competitors must keep to the left until they have passed the "Reduce Speed Now†sign on the left, approximately 400m before the roundabout. Observers will be present and offending competitors will be disqualified from the event for dangerous or inconsiderate riding.
5. Obey lights at Fire Station at Holes Bay. An observer will be in attendance and any rider who goes through a red light will be disqualified.
Any rider observed riding in a manner which may jeopardise his or her own safety, the safety of others and the future of the Sport will be disqualified and reported to the South District Council of Cycling Time Trials
