o Start on the A199 just beyond mini roundabout approx 50m east of Tranent. Head east through Macmerry, straight over roundabout where B636 crosses A199 to continue on A199 through Gladsmuir. After 4.85 miles from start turn left on B6471 onto A1 eastbound slip roads roundabout. Exit roundabout on B6471 east (complete circuit of roundabout) then circumnavigate A1 westbound slip roads roundabout to return westbound on A199. Turn left onto A199 (at junction with B6471) to retrace outward leg up to the roundabout at the B636/A199, go around the roundabout, back down the A199 through Gladsmuir towards the A1. Retrace per the first instance by turning left on B6471 onto A1 eastbound slip roads roundabout. Exit roundabout on B6471 east (complete circuit of roundabout) then circumnavigate A1 westbound slip roads roundabout to return westbound on A199. Turn left onto A199 (at junction with B6471) to retrace outward leg towards Tranent and finishing 50m east of starting point
