start by manhole cover by railings o/s school (su 089 783). proceed northwest for 2.7 miles (care narrow bridge) after 2.9 miles turn right (extreme care) onto nore marsh road, after 3.3 miles take the 1st exit at the r/about onto stoneover lane. proceed northeast, after 3.9 miles turn left (caution give way – fast flowing traffic). proceed northwest, after 4.4 miles take the 2nd exit at the r/about (towards malmesbury) after 7.1 miles where turn left (callow hill). proceed south, after 8.4 miles turn right (extreme care). proceed west, after 12.4 miles turn left at junction (give way). proceed southwest, after 13 miles turn left at junction (caution car boot sale). proceed southeast, after 15.3 miles take the 2nd exit at the r/about (signposted calne/goatacre/hilmarton). after 15.8 miles take the 2nd exit at the r/about, still heading towards calne/goatacre/hilmarton). after 17.7 miles turn left towards bushton (caution this turn is at the bottom of a fast descent). after 18.7 miles turn left (give way) towards bushton. proceed northeast, after 21.4 miles turn right at crossroads in bushton (extreme care). proceed along this road to the finish (su 078 765) 23 miles.
