start on the a3121 level with telegraph pole no 5 at haradon cross, ugborough (gr sx 674 553) proceed westwards on the a3121 to hollowcombe cross, ermington where go left (m) on to an unclassified road. in 200 yards (m) join the a379. continue to modbury. at palm cross go left into barracks road (m) and then right (m) into dark lane and left (m) into old dartmouth road. in approximately 3 miles join the b3207 and in a further 200 yards at california cross join the b3196. proceed on b3196 to kitterford cross where turn left (m2) on to a3121 and pass the start point. continue for a second lap. finish level with entry to footpath some 150 yards short of the start (gr 675 553) and having covered 25.5 miles approx mileages:- hollowcombe cross 3.5 & 16.3, palm cross 5.2 & 18.0, california cross 9.1 & 21.9, lap end 12.8
