start in lay-by on a40 (llandeilo by-pass). proceed west on a40 to dryslwyn (6.5 km) where turn left onto b4297. go past dryslwyn castle and over bridge (with care) to join b4300 (9.2 km) where turn left and proceed east to junction with a476 (16 km). turn left onto a476 and proceed to ffairfach. taking great care, turn left (1st exit) at mini r-a-b (17.9 km) to join a483 and proceed over bridge into town of llandeilo. take first left on entering town (17.9 km) and proceed through one way system that zig-zags up small hill. turn left at top of hill onto carmarthen road and continue past hq to rejoin a40 where turn left to rejoin circuit (19 kms). all categories except elite men will complete one full circuit and another ‘half’ circuit (32 kms). elite men will complete two full circuits and then one half circuit (52 kms). note - it's actually about a two-thirds final circuit (13 kms) rather than a half one. finishing ‘half’ lap: on final ‘half’ circuit for every category, riders go past start on a40 (llandeilo by-pass). proceed west on a40 to dryslwyn where turn left onto b4297. go past dryslwyn castle and over bridge to join b4300. after approx 4kms on b4300 turn left onto unclassified road (sign-posted broad oak and aberglasney gardens) to finish at point adjacent to gateway approx 200 metres after junction. a google map of the course can be obtained via: <http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=utf8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=116697841534926970956.00048da1dc4c685c3e063&z=13> after finishing, riders are to proceed straight on and return via sign-posted small lane back to hq (6 kms). riders should not return to the race circuit after finishing. the lane will bring riders out on to the a40 where a right turn takes you back to the start and hq area. great care is needed at this right turn and riders must obey the instructions from the marshals posted here.
