START on minor Ponteland to Blagdon road at natural lay-by approx. 400 metres north of the minor Ponteland to Morpeth road. Proceed north east to the T-junction with the old A1 Blagdon road. Turn left on the old A1 and continue down slip road to join the A1 northbound dual carriageway. Proceed north for approx. 1/3 mile to take the slip road leading to Stannington village. Proceed across mini-roundabout in to village and turn left after approx. 200 metres. Continue on through the village in the direction of Tranwell village, and through Tranwell village to the T-junction with the B6524. Turn left on the B6524 and continue until the second road on the left at Gubion (sign-posted Ponteland). Turn left on minor Ponteland road and past Finish in to Ponteland to minor road to Blagdon. Turn left on minor Blagdon road and straight on to lay-by starting point and the completion of one circuit.Repeat the circuit to FINISH at the tree stump on left just past the Northumbria Police HQ.entrance and before the 30mph sign at Ponteland.
