os ref. 796442. start at a point in the lead out onto the a31, from the lay-by on the south side at the start of the bentley by-pass approximately 800 yards west of the bull public house on the north side of the a31, 10 yards short of the last road drain at the layby exit (western end) 0.000 os ref. 736403. proceed westwards along the bentley by-pass, through froyle (dual carriageway reduced to a single lane for approx half a mile) and proceed on the a.31 to the holybourne roundabout. os ref. 704374. keeping to the left lane take the first exit (m) straight ahead) and continue on the a.31 to the roundabout at chawton (m2) at the junction with the a.32. os ref. 621316. go straight across (m4,m5) keeping on the a.31 to go through four marks (care at pedestrian lights (m) ) and continue to go through ropley, soke, north street and ropley dean to the roundabout in bishops sutton at the junction with the b.3047,(m6) (turn) os ref. 704374. circle the roundabout m7,8) to retrace on the a.31 going through four marks (care at pedestrian lights (m) ) to the chawton roundabout (m9). os ref. 736403. go straight across 2nd exit (m10) continue on the a.31 to the holybourne roundabout (m11) avoid road on the left. os ref. 748418. go straight across m12,great care fast approach,(2nd exit) m13 and continue on the a31 to a point on the north side 600yds short of the ph ‘hen & chickens’ and 50yds beyond the ‘p’ sign situated in the lay-by on the south (opposite) side where finish. note: this entire course is on the a31.
