GENERAL NOTES to be displayed at Signing On Point
London South District regulation: No vehicles, except those of the timekeepers and event officials, shall be parked in the
vicinity of the start and finish areas.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Competitors are requested not to warm up on the course after the first competitor has started.
Details of any Additional Hazards will be displayed or advised at the Signing On Point. All Competitors must take note
of these details when they sign on.
As Mill Road is a narrow road, Competitors MUST keep in single file on the Left waiting to start and NOT block the road
For other road users.
Competitors must exercise extra care when joining the A24 just after the start and at Kingsfold, and at Beare Green
roundabout.
No times to be given at the Finish.
After finishing, competitors must continue to North Holmwood RBT taking the appropriate exit to return to Event HQ
GUIDANCE NOTES FOR Event Promoters
Promoters should refer to the GENERIC Risk Assessment and check that all measures to reduce risk have been covered.
Should a hazard be noted that is the responsibility of the Highways Authority, please advise the London South Assistant
Secretary (COURSES) - see details in the CTT Handbook.
Promoters should be familiar with CTT Regulations and, in particular, the Sections “Duties of Promoting Secretaries” and
“ Abandonment or Postponement of Events” as published in the CTT Handbook.
Promoters should keep Entry Forms, Signing On Sheets and Check Cards for one year after the event if there has been no incident in connection with the event and for three years if there has been an incident.
Details of safe routes to the start and from the Finish may be added to the Safety Instructions on the Start Sheet where
appropriate.

G15/42 START in Mill Road, South Holmwood, at circular manhole in road 10 yards west of “ 40 MPH” sign and 244 yards
west of junction with Blackbrook Road and Henfield Lane at Fourwents Pond. Proceed to junction with A24. LEFT and follow
A24 to Beare Green RBT. RIGHT and follow A29 to Northlands Farm Junction. LEFT into Marches Road and proceed to
junction with A24 at Kingsfold. LEFT on A24 via Clark`s Green and Beare Green RBTs to FINISH just after 2nd left to Beare
Green Village (Horsham Road) at point where metal crash barrier ends and concrete bridge parapet starts.
