Social rides - We have a year-long programme of Sunday Club Runs of distances of between 60-70 miles. There are rides of about 50 miles on Tuesday and Thursday morning. These rides start at 09.00 from the car park of the Co-op Supermarket at Rothley, LE7 7NQ. The Sunday rides occasionally take the form of two groups riding at different paces, including a 'we will wait for you' pace. 

Leicestershire Road Club was formed in 1909. Since being formed the Club has produced many top class cyclists including world champions and national champions. Current-day membership is drawn from around Leicestershire but the majority of members are from the towns and villages north of Leicester. 

The Club promotes a 27-mile Open Hilly TT in April. In June the Club promotes the Owen Blower Memorial Women's road race and a Men's Supporting race, and in October the Club promotes a cyclo cross event as part of the Leicestershire Cyclo Cross League.

Members also take part in track racing, hill climbs, rand a range of non-competitive rides and tours.
