Formed in 2013 by 10 friends, Salt & Sham Cycling Club has grown organically, thanks to the founding members ethos of Collective Cycling.
We welcome riders of all abilities and have about 240 members and even a cycling club HQ based at Keynsham Cricket Club.
Our club members are involved in a wide range of cycling disciplines, including Road Racing, CX, TT, MTB, Audaxes and Sportives, as well as those who just like a social ride. We run our own events including TTs, Hill Climbs and the now legendary ‘Run What Ya Brung’. We reach out to the local community to offer support with events and safety initiatives with local schools.
At the heart of our club is the Saturday club ride, The Lap Of The Lakes, which takes place every Saturday at 7am (8am Dec – Feb), Ashton Way, Keynsham, and sees us follow a 45km loop around the beautiful Chew Valley countryside, ending up at Keynsham Cricket Club for breakfast. Everyone is welcome and nobody gets left behind, so come and join us.
