Propel Cycling Club (Telford)

Propel is a cycling club based in Telford, Shropshire.  Formed at the end of 2018 by local cyclists it is designed to provide a sociable group riding atmosphere with an emphasis on safety and good riding etiquette.  Propel is registered with Cycling UK and the CTT, to allow members to time trial and is a member of the SCCA for local time-trialling.

We are predominately a road club; some members opt for gravel and mountain biking as well, but the road is our most common way of accessing our sport, so you will need a bike designed for road use (some people refer to these as racing bikes) with gearing and equipment to make your ride safe, enjoyable and above all comfortable and to manage your energy usage efficiently.

We offer a range of rides, but Saturday and Sunday Club Rides that are ridden as a group are our core club rides.  Saturday is aimed at building up to longer distances, so 90 minutes to 2 hours at a pace that ensures everyone is comfortable, Sunday alternates between a 30 – 35 mile ride and a 40 - 50 mile ride, allowing members to build fitness or opt to stay at a distance they are happy with, always with a café stop approximately mid-way.
