HAVE you ever wanted to ride in a national time trial championship? Well there’s still time to claim a place in one of the country’s top events this season.
The National Hill-Climb Championship and the National Closed Circuit Championship both still have a few places left, and entries are still open. Don’t leave it too late to claim your place!
The Closed Circuit Championship takes place on October 9 on the iconic Thruxton motor circuit in Hampshire, and you have until September 20 to get your entry in to the team at Antelope RT.
Last year it was prolific title winner Chris Fennell and UCI pro Leah Dixon who claimed the titles, and you could be on the start sheet alongside quality riders at the 2022 event!
The Closed Circuit Championships will also be attended by Dame Sarah Storey who will field a team from Storey Racing in the solo and team events.
It is also hoped that the event will include a mixed relay time trial with two men and two women, each doing one lap of the 2.4-mile circuit.
Similarly, the National Hill-Climb Championship takes place on October 30 in Wales and is still open to entries.
Why not get your entry in early and spend the next couple of months basking in the glory of knowing you’re going to be riding one of the country’s most popular annual events?
This year it’s organised by Velotik and Wrexham RC and uses the iconic old Horseshoe Pass near Llangollen.
Defending women’s champion Bithja Jones has already entered, while it is also hoped that the 2021 men’s champion Tom Bell will be on the start line come October 30.
Event organisers across the country need riders to enter early so that numbers can be worked out, and National Championships are no exception. So please – get on the CTT website and book your place for these two fine events!
