Last year’s winners Chris McNamara and James Horton return to defend their titles at the VC St Raphael 16.5-mile time trial in Hampshire on Sunday, as the season makes a delayed start following last weekend’s cancellations.
The event near Wickham features a road bike category as well as time trial machines. McNamara (Nuun-Sigma Sport) returns to defend his 2019 victory in the time trial event, while Horton (VC St Raphael) is last rider off in the road bikes event.
In Somerset it is the Frome and District Wheelers 10 on Sunday morning, and last year’s winners Megan Dickerson and David Janes are returning to compete.
Now riding for the Skoda DSI Cycling Academy, talented Dickerson is one of five women taking part, while Janes (Swift Performance Coaching) is the last rider off in a field of 70 for the event on the U375 course near Nunney.
In Scotland it is the Fullarton Wheelers two-up 10-mile event near Kilwinning with last year’s winners Karl Farmer and David Morrison (VC Glasgow South) taking part again, as are 2019 runners-up Tony Scott and Marc Anderson.
The S3/10a course near Ivybridge in Devon is the venue for the City Cycle Couriers RT 10-mile event. A small field of 24 riders is completed by Dean Robson (Northover VT).
And in Surrey it’s the Redhill CC 18-mile event near North Holmwood on Sunday too.
