Yorkshire hosts the National 100-Mile Championship on Sunday, and has attracted a top class field including both last year’s champions.

The V270 course uses the popular A168 alongside the A1 between Dishforth and Kirk Deighton, with the start being near Boroughbridge.

Marcin Bialoblocki (NOPINZ) is the last man off as the reigning champion, while 2018 women’s winner Alice Lethbridge rides again and will be hoping to see a repeat of last year when her Drag2zero team secured a clean sweep of the podium.

Behind Bialoblocki, watch out for Stuart Travis (Team Bottrill), Tim McEvoy (Lanhydrock Wheelers) and Paul Hart (Southend Wheelers).

In the women’s event, Lethbridge is joined by team-mates Vicky Gill and Liz Powell who joined her on the podium last year, but also in their team this year is Anna Turvey.

Others to look out for include Alex Clay (AeroLab Ward Wheelz), as well as Emily Robertson (NOPINZ).

Elsewhere Finsbury Park CC host a 50-mile event that is a counter for the British Best All-Rounder competition. The promoting club’s own Gray Turnock is last rider off, while his Finsbury Park team-mate Daniel Northover also rides.

Triathlete Philip Graves (VC York) is the pre-race favourite in the Stockton Wheelers 25 in North Yorkshire, but others to watch out for include fast lady Kerry Gowland (Houghton CC) as well as junior Sam Murray (Drag2zero).

David McGaw (Cambridge CC) is the last man off in the Essex Roads CC 25 near Ugley, where riders will track the M11 north and south on minor roads through Newport, Wendens Ambo, Great Chesterfield and Little Chesterfield before turning back.

In Dorset it’s the Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers 25 near Lytchett Matravers, with Sam Wadsley (Primera-TeamJobs) the last man off. Matt Burden (73 Degrees Bicycles) is also taking part, while Kirsty McSeveney (a3crg) is expected to be fastest female.

And in Scotland Chris Smart (GTR-Return to Life) will be going for glory in the Law Wheelers 25 near Stirling on Sunday, when riders will head out west to Buchlyvie and back.

In other action, Sid Valley CC are promoting a 10-mile event in Devon, while the Welsh CA 30-Mile Championships sees Tom Ward (AeroLan Ward Wheelz) as last man off, while others to watch include Conrad Moss (NOPINZ) as well as Chris Gibbard (Bynea CC).

Saturday’s events include the Norwich ABC 10 in Norfolk, as well as the Kent CA 10 near Deal.

The A10/14 course near Long Bennington in Lincolnshire is being used for the Sherwood CC 10 on Saturday evening, while the Weavey Valley CC 25 and Manchester and District LCA events use the J2/9 course near Goostrey in Cheshire.
