Here we go again as Christmas approaches and the keener competitors have two events to ride. Saturday sees the Farnborough & Camberley CC promote their 10-mile time trial on the Bentley course. No less than 80 brave souls face the timekeeper, including six women.
James Rix (Team Bottrill) looks to improve on his 20.07 that earned him second place last year while Kirsty McSeveney (Fareham Wheelers), best of the women last time out hopes to do as well this time out. Others riding include Gavin Hinxman (Drag2Zero), Christopher Hall (Spokes BPC Racing) and Neil Mackley (Fareham Wheelers).
On Sunday the city cycle couriers run their Andy Nosworthy Memorial event over 10.5 miles at Ermington, Plymouth. Andrew White (BPM Coaching) defends his 2017 win with Dean Robson (Northovers VT-Rudy Project) his number one rival. Jane Allison (YOGI Cycling) is the lone woman entry. White holds the course record with a 22-50.
Let’s just hope the weekend weather remains kind to cyclists.
