Sigma Sports take over as headline sponsor for Cycling Time Trials ‘Classic Series’ in 2019

Cycling Time Trials, the national governing body for time trials in England, Scotland and Wales return for their annual ‘Classic Series’ in 2019, this time under different sponsorship. Surrey-based leading road cycling and triathlon expert Sigma Sports have taken over with the aim to support a growth in time trialling events across the country.

The ‘Classic Series’, which has previously been sponsored by American wheel brand Knight Composites, will return for the 25th year after being introduced in 1995.

Sigma Sports was founded in 1992, when friends Ian Whittingham and Jason Turner opened their doors to the public with the aim of getting more people on road bikes and creating a hub for the south west London cycling community. Their flagship store in Hampton Wick not only offers the latest bikes and equipment, but also runs social rides, bike fitting sessions, state-of-the-art workshops and allows customers to experience products first hand.

Cycling Time Trials are very pleased to be working with Sigma Sports, creating a positive partnership for the benefit of the riders.

The Classic Series consist of six events in total across the UK, including categories for men, women, espoirs, juniors, veterans and paracyclists. The format for 2019 is still under review but will be finalised as soon as possible.
