Plenty of action in store this weekend from hill climbs to team time trials and a Championship `30`, the Welsh one. Saturday sees the DIW Wheelers promotion on the Brands Hatch Motor Racing circuit where 15 teams compete, the majority either from the 7 Oaks Tri Club or the GS Avanti. Two women’s squads also ride, the Folkstone Velo Club and the Twickenham CC.
In Wales Kieran Davies (Drag2Zero) is the big in the Welsh Championship `30`. Further North the Bute Wheelers promote the Rothesay Weekend with its hill-climb and two-up time trial that takes riders round the Isle of Bute.
Adam Duggleby (Vive le Velo) headlines the Sports Lab `10` along with Jonathan Wears and Jon Surtees (NOPINZ) that also includes Fiona Sharp (Team Swift) among the women.
World Championship selection Pfeiffer Georgi (Liv CC-Halo Cycles) rides the Paceline RT `10` along with National Youth Girls runner up Caitlin Peters (I-Team CC). Men include James Boyman (Hoops Velo) and Gary Chambers (NOPINZ).
The Springfield Financial `10` has Stephen Irwin (North Lancs RC) and Richard Bickley (Border City Wheelers) listed while the on form Liz Powell (Drag2Zero) down for the Klin Cut Apparel 10-mile time trial.
Moving on to `25s`, James Rix (Team Bottrill-Vanguard) goes for the East Sussex CA event while his team mate Stuart Travis rides the Westerley CC promotion where women entered include Christina Murray (Army Cycling Union) and Kate Allan (Drag2Zero). The VTTA (Kent) `25` should provide another win for Chris Fennell (The Independent Pedaler).
The Beacon Wheelers Great Dun Fell hill-climb has Andy Cunningham (Ilkley CC) while former champion Adam Kenway (Vitus Pro Cycling) stretches his legs in the Weaver Valley promotion.
