One week before our Blue Ribbon National Championship – the `25` the potential 2018 champions are in action. Defending Champion and Competition Recorder Hayley Simmonds (Team WRT Pro Cycling) rides the Sotonia CC Sporting 14.5-mile event while Men’s Competition Record holder Marcin Bialoblocki (NOPINZ) stretches his legs in the Virtual CC `25` just a week after he set a new 50-mile Competition Record, 1-30-31.
Elsewhere, our new 24-Hour National Champion Andy Jackson (AeroCoach) rides the VTTA Championship `25` where Brett Harwood (Team Bottrill-Vanguard), Simon Beldon (Team Bottrill) and Kevin Tye (VeloRefined.com-Aerosmiths) are among the opposition while Women include Karen Ledger (Team Bottrill), Liz Powell (Drag2Zero), Alex Deck (Rutland CC) and Jackie Field (CC Ashwell).
The Seamons CC `25` includes Marc Turnbull (TORQ Performance) and Andrew Wilkinson (Port Sunlight Wheelers) while Philip Graves (NOPINZ) is having a go at the Team Swift `100`. Harry Tanfield (Cleveland Wheelers) competes in the Chrono RT `10` along with Jonathan Wears (NOPINZ), Daniel Bloy (Team Velovelocity) and John Mulvey (Cambridge University CC).
Lee Tunnicliffe (Lutterworth Cycle Centre) heads the entry for the Rugby RCC `10` where Junior Adam Jarps (Team Bottrill), Ryan Kenworthy (LeisureLakes Bikes) and Veteran Keith Reynolds (Solihull CC) are also listed. Christopher Fennell (The Indepandent Pedlar) and Nicholas Fennell (Thanet RC) will be looking for the old one-two in the West Kent RC `25` as Danny Axford (Arctic-Tacx) looks for success in the 73 Degrees Bicycles/Cleveland & District 38-kilometre time trial.
