Weekend preview 23-24 June 2018

Our most recent champions take it a little easier this weekend after their epic performances in the RTTC National 12-Hour Championships last Sunday when Adam Duggleby (Vive le Velo) clocked up a record breaking 322 miles (according to Adam) and Alice Lethbridge (Drag2Zero) took the women’s title with a record  290ish miles, she reckoned.

Lethbridge rides the Blazing Saddles `50` on Sunday in the build up to her riding next Thursday’s British Cycling Time Trial Championship. As for Duggleby he is down for the Stockton Wheelers `25` where Harry Tanfield (Cleveland Wheelers) and Keith Murray (Drag2Zero) are also listed. Anna Turvey (Tyneside Vagabonds) is the leading woman. Duggleby, by the way, won’t be riding the BC event “I haven’t got a bike that meets UCI regulations,” he tells us. Murray also rides Saturday’s Cestria CC nine-mile event.

Stuart Travis

Other weekend promotions include the Springfield Financial Charity `10` with Mark Holton (Drag2Zero), Simon Wilson (Ribble Pro Cycling) and Richard Bideau (Pendle Forest CC) if he has got over his fall in the National `12`; Matt Sinclair (Lutterworth Cycle Centre RT) rides the Sleaford Wheelers `15`; Matt Langworthy (Saint Piran) and Conrad Moss (Mid Devon CC) go for the Altrax `25`; the Bynea CC `25` has Stuart Travis (Team Bottrill-Vanguard) and Scott Davies (Team Wiggins).

There are many more events listed on our start sheets section.
