Well here we go again. Weather permitting two events kick the new season off on Sunday, the Ely & District Hardriders `25` and the South Downs Bikes 21-kilometre time trial.

Both events include last year’s winners Gary Chambers (NOPINZ), top man in the South Downs Bikes promotion, and Felix Barker (Cambridge University CC) first in the Ely event.

An impressive 90-strong field, including a dozen women, chase the honours at Ely which also includes 2017 runner-up Sebastian Dickson (Thanet CC). Chambers faces Edmund Bradbury (JLT Condor) and Pat Wright (Paceline RT), third last year, among others in the 65-strong line-up.
