Men's National 25 course change

Please see information below from the event organiser re course change of the Men's National 25 mile Championship on Sunday 6th August 2017.

The Welsh Assembly has undertaken an 18 month major road upgrade of the A40 trunk road in the Llandeilo to Carmarthen region of South West Wales. I have been unable to secure guarantees that the Men’s 25 Championship on August 6  due to use this road from Llandeilo to Abergwili and back will be free from traffic management, complete road closure  and/or temporary road surfaces. Unfortunately no other courses in the vicinity are suitable for such a major event.

The South Wales District Committee along with the Bynea CC have agreed to move the event 30 miles east to use the Rhigos based R25/3H. This will focus all the 25 mile National Championships promoted in the South Wales District to the same course; Women and Juniors event on the Saturday afternoon and the Men’s event on the Sunday Morning. This is currently the fastest 25 mile time trial course in Britain.

I realise some people may have booked accommodation in the Llandeilo area already but by making the decision now will give people time to make other arrangements.
