Care at Road Junctions:
Riders must exercise care at all junctions. Any competitor whose riding line causes him/her to cross the white line when approaching or leaving a junction will be liable to disqualification from the event and may be reported to the District Committee for further disciplinary action.
Race Numbers:
These will be available at the HQ. Please return them after the event.
• As with any event – if you will not be starting, please let the organiser know as soon as possible.
• Refreshments will be available at the headquarters.
• Changing facilities are available at the headquarters.
• Numbers and signing on will be at the HQ. The HQ will open from 12.30pm.
• Please remember to return your number at the end of the event.
COURSE ETIQUETTE:
• Riders must exercise extreme caution when joining the A556. Proceed with caution keeping close to the verge. Any rider who joins the A556 in a manner which causes him/her to cross the dividing line of the two lane carriageway will be disqualified from the event and may be reported to the District Committee for disciplinary action.
• Riders finishing must take care to stop safely and avoid other riders who may be continuing to ride round the circuit.
• No parking at the start or near the timekeeper at the finish.
• Do not disturb or obstruct the timekeeper at the finish.
• Avoid the use of “U†turns. Any competitor infringing traffic regulations will be liable to disqualification and may be reported to the District Committee for further disciplinary action.
• Riders must exercise care at all times.
• Observers will be present at the event.
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY
Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
In accordance with Regulation 15 ALL JUNIOR competitors must wear Protective Hard Shell Helmets.
It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
