EVENT HQ
Morley Village Hall, Golf Links Road, Morley St Peter, Norfolk, NR18 9SU
The HQ facilities and car park will be open from 18:00 and is easily accessible from the Spooner Row junction of the A11 (follow the Wymondham College signs).
Note: the start is approximately 3.2 miles (5km) from the HQ, so please allow enough time to get to the start on time. Please do not use the residential area near the start to park any vehicles etc.
Route to start from HQ
Turn right out of the HQ car park to the end of Golf Links Road.
Turn right towards Attleborough.
Continue until you reach the T-junction, turn right to follow the bridge over the A11.
Continue on the B1077 into Attleborough.
Keeping the church on your right, follow signs to Town Centre and Watton.
After the Esso garage, bear left (signposted Watton B1077).
At the traffic lights before the A11, turn left, then left again into Blackthorn Road where the start is located
NOTES TO RIDERS - The following local East District regulations must be adhered to: -
8. U-turns (see note below)
“U-turns will not be permitted on course or roads adjacent to Start and Finish areas while a race is in progressâ€Â.
Note – Any breaking of this Regulation in the first case may mean disqualification from the event.
Further cases will be referred to the District Committee.
Definition: A U-turn is defined as a 180 degree turn completed within the highway whilst astride the machine. (It is recommended that the rider(s) should dismount, check the road is clear in both directions, then, with machine, and walk across the road).
11. Numbers
“Numbers will be at the HQ and not at the Startâ€Â.
Numbers can be exchanged for a hot or cold drink after the event at Morley Village Hall, the next VTTA event is only a couple of days later and so it is urgent all numbers are returned.
12. Warming up
“No warming up along the course by competitors once an event has startedâ€Â.
IN THE INTEREST OF YOUR OWN SAFETY, CYCLING TIME TRIALS AND THE EVENT PROMOTERS STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO WEAR A HARD SHELL SAFETY HELMET THAT MEETS AN INTERNATIONALLY ACCEPTED SAFETY STANDARD AND USE A REAR LIGHT EITHER FLASHING OR CONSTANT, VISIBLE TO FOLLOWING ROAD USERS AND IS ACTIVE WHILE THE MACHINE IS IN USE..
