EVENT HQ.
St Nicholas at Wade C of E Primary School, Down Barton Road, St Nicholas-At-Wade, Birchington, CT7 0PY.
Directions to start from HQ: Turn left from the HQ and then turn right into The Street. After approximately 100 metres, turn right into Manor Road. At the crossroads at the end of Manor Road, turn right onto the A28 to the start, approximately 500 metres from crossroads.

CYCLING TIME TRIALS AND THANET ROAD CLUB STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO WEAR A HARD SHELL HELMET THAT MEETS AN INTERNATIONALLY ACCEPTED STANDARD. JUNIOR AND JUVENILE COMPETITORS MUST WEAR A PROTECTIVE HELMET THAT COMPLIES WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF CTT REGULATION 15.
IT IS ALSO RECOMMENDED THAT A WORKING REAR LIGHT, EITHER FLASHING OR CONSTANT, IS FITTED TO YOUR MACHINE IN A POSITION VISIBLE TO FOLLOWING ROAD USERS AND IS ACTIVE WHILST THE MACHINE IS IN USE.
Notes
• Please keep the noise to a minimum to avoid unnecessary disturbance to the local residents.
• Turbo trainers or rollers are not to be used at or in the vicinity of the Headquarters. Any rider that ignores this ruling will be subject to disqualification.
• Riders risk disqualification if they perform U turns in the start and finish areas or use these areas as a public toilet. Please be aware that traffic approaching the start area from Sarre may be moving fast.
• No warming up on the course once the event has started.
• Numbers will be at HQ (and not the start) and may be exchanged for a drink after.
• Riders are required to sign on before collecting their number.
• Please ensure that you pin your number on your lower back as per CTT Regulation number 16. If you pin it too high on your back, the timekeeper may miss it and you could be shown as DNF on the result.
• Please do not wear shoe plates in the HQ.
• Note that on each return leg towards St Nicholas, you are required to leave the Thanet Way using the slip road, sign post to Hillboro, Reculver, Hoath and Chislet, and rejoin the Thanet Way at the end of the slip road. Please be aware of the poor road surface on the slip road and ride with care!
• On passing the finish timekeeper, you will need to stop before rejoining the Thanet Way and turn round in order to return to the HQ. Please take extreme care when doing this as there may be other riders still competing and other road users to be considered. To return to the HQ, return past the timekeeper, turn left at the T junction and then right into Down Barton Road after 200 metres.
