It is compulsory for all riders to sign on. Numbers will be available at the event headquarters at Longworth Village Hall which will open from 13:30pm. Note that parking at the event HQ is very limited so please park in roads near the HQ and be respectful of locals when using turbo trainers.
Safety
• Always give priority to traffic from your right when negotiating roundabouts.
• Signal clearly to other road users the course you intend to take.
• Safety – not your performance – is the first priority at all times.
• CTT regulations require competitors under 18 years of age to wear a helmet of hard/soft shell construction and recommends the use helmets by all other competitors.
District regulations applicable to all events
LWDC 4 No vehicles, except those of the timekeepers, shall be parked at the start or finish
LWDC 5 All breaches of Local Regulations shall be reported in writing to the London West District Secretary.
Getting to the start from HQ
Note that although these directions are from HQ, we request that you do not park at HQ whilst warming up due to very limited parking. Turn right out of HQ into the High Street. When you reach the T junction, turn left onto Rectory Lane (care). Follow Rectory Road until you reach the crossroads and turn right onto Hinton Road (care). Follow the road through Hinton Waldrist (where the road is renamed High Street) and continue following it for approximately 1.5 miles until you meet the junction with the A420 where the start is located.
Getting to the HQ from the race finish
After passing past the finish layby (marked by a sign for the Charney Bassett/Longworth crossroads), continue 500 yards until you come to these crossroads. Signal right to turn into Pine Woods Road at these crossroads (in the direction of Hilton Waldrist and Longworth). Please take extreme care when turning right. Continue for 1000 yards to the T junction and turn right into Hinton Road (care). After 100 yards turn left into Rectory Lane and then right into Longworth High Street after another 100 yards. The HQ will be on your left hand side after a few metres.
