Description

The HQ will be positioned at Hassop Station (Post Code: DE45 1NW, this is the last roundabout on the course) where there are toilets and plenty of parking. Please sign on and collect your number at the HQ. Signing on will be available from 6pm. The HQ is approximately 4 miles from the start and will provide a good warm up – but please allow plenty of time to get there! The café will be open to the general public, and Duncan is once again letting us use the facilities for an HQ, so please show your appreciation by patronising his business and thus ensuring that we can be back next year. Please be aware, also, that whilst your fellow competitors will not bat an eyelid if you strip off in your car, Joe Public and his mates will not be of the same opinion – so please be discreet! Thank you. Warm up: Please avoid warming up on the course towards Ashford once the event has started. There is plenty of road available going south and east from the HQ or north on the B6001 towards Calver. IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. It is also recommended that a rear light, either constant or flashing, is in use during the event. Some parts of the course are tree lined and light levels could be low if it is a cloudy evening.
