Headquarters:-
The HQ will be Fallfield Village Hall. Limited parking is available at the hall, so please park considerately. Refreshments and toilets will be available at the HQ, which will be open from 08.00hrs. Refreshments will be available from 08.30hrs. NO cleated cycling shoes in the hall please. The start is approximately 2 mile from the HQ: allow 10 minutes. Turn left out of the hall onto the A38 and head north.
Signing on and numbers will be available at the HQ.
PLEASE NOTE:
NO PARKING AT EITHER THE HUNTSMAN INN PUB CAR PARK, OR OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE TO THE CHURCH.
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY:
Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets a internationally accepted safety standard. In accordance with Regulation 15. ALL JUNIOR competitors must wear a Protective Hard Shell Helmet. It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant is fitted to the machine in a position visible to the following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
On the outbound leg of the course, please be aware of the poor road surface at the Berkeley Heath junction (approx 2.5 miles from the start).Vehicles (including HGVs) may be turning across your path, or turning into/or out of the petrol station. In addition be aware of speed bumps on the approach to Berkeley road railway bridge.
Please also take extra care at the turning point (Slimbridge Roundabout), which can be very busy. Whilst there will be marshals at the roundabout, it is each rider’s own responsibility to negotiate the roundabout safely, paying attention to traffic from all directions.
Dangerous riding will result in disqualification. Please keep your head up for a safe ride..
Competitors are reminded that the CTT Regulations must be adhered to at all times, in particular:
Rule 20 – observance of the law;
Rule 21 – paced and company riding;
Rule 22 – use of motor vehicles.
