HEADQUARTERS and PARKING

Event Headquarters is
TOPCLIFFE & ASENBY VILLAGE HALL,
FRONT STREET, TOPCLIFFE YO7 3RJ approx.. 0.5 miles from the start.
Body-numbers, signing-on sheets, result board and refreshments will be located here.
Please note there is little parking available adjacent to the HQ – one-way streets & yellow lines. There is parking available near the slip-road from the A168, just after the finish, and also at Asenby on the slip-road from the A168 towards Asenby (about 1.5 mile from the HQ). We are also advised that the nearby Angel inn allows parking in its carpark for hall users.
As this course covers 2 laps, there will be some over-lapping of riders. When joining the slip-road from the A168 towards Topcliffe at the end of your 1st circuit, continue under the dual carriageway to turn right to start the 2nd circuit. DO NOT follow a rider in front of you who goes straight on – they may have just finished the event (end of 2nd lap) and be returning to the HQ.
There is no parking available (other than for Officials) at either the start or the finish.
Please do not warm up on the course once the first rider has started.
If using the A168 towards Dishforth, it is approx. 3 miles to the first exit. The slip-road to Topcliffe on the return leg from Dishforth brings you out opposite the start.
In the interest of your own safety, CYCLING TIMETRIALS, and the Event Promoters strongle advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
In Accordance with Regulation 15 ALL JUNIOR competitors must wear Protective Hard Shell Helmets
It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active while the machine is in use.
