PLEASE NOTE: Please can I regretfully ask that you don't enter this event if you are currently living in a Tier 3 area because technically you can't travel into a Tier 2 area.
Traditionally, this has been a light-hearted event with a focus on fancy dress. However, some riders still come to test their winter fitness and, in a blistering ride on Boxing Day in 2018, a new course record of 20:11 was set by Ken Buckley. This course record has since been broken in the summer of 2020 by Tom Day in a time of 19:58, once time trialling was allowed to resume, but it shows what can be achieved on an otherwise unlikely day!
This year, with Covid-19 restrictions giving the event a different feel to previous years, we will still do our best to give you a Boxing Day 10 ‘experience’. There will be prizes for fancy dress costumes, which will be judged as you ride past the HQ. There will also be plenty of prizes for fastest times within age groups, as always.
