Event HQ: Bowling Club, Feniton - turn off old A30 at Patterson's Cross and turn right (signed Old Feniton - Green Lane). Riders heading towards the start should turn left out of the Bowling Club and left and then left again towards Patterson's Cross, where left to the start. Distance approx. 1.5 miles. Please do not use any other route. Warm up can take place by turning right at Patterson's Cross and immediately left. Please ensure that old A30 is not crossed when in use by competitors and adhere to DC regulations. To return to HQ at finish, turn right at Patterson's Cross and right again.
Start: on the old A30 at the lay-by approx. 200 yards east of Patterson's Cross, prior to the play end of the lay-by. Proceed eastwards to go under the railway bridge and join the new A30. Continue on the A30 to pass Honiton and filter left onto the slip road signed "Dorchester". cross the A30 and then turn sharp right to re-join the A30 westbound taking care crossing oncoming traffic. Pass Honiton and at the slip-way signed "Ottery St Mary" filter left to leave the A30. GIVE WAY at the base of the slip road and turn left onto the old A30. proceed to a point 101 yards prior to the parapet of the old railway bridge and some 200 yards short of he start point where finish.
DC Regulations:
No U turns within the vicinity of start or finish areas.
No parking allowed in the lay-bys at start or finish except by the timekeepers.
All breeches of local regulations shall be reported to the District Secretary.
Start area: all competitors waiting their turn to start must remain within the dotted white line area of the lay-by. Any rider failing to do so will not be allowed to start.
Return to the old A30 from the new A30: any rider crossing the central white line when emerging from the A30 slip road shall be disqualified from the event and shall be reported to the District Committee who make take further action.
Riders are strongly advised to wear a hard shell helmet and a rear LED light.
