Corse details:
Start at the lay-by approximately 200 yards east of Patterson's Cross junction, Feniton, on the old A30. Proceed eastwards through Fenny Bridges and under the railway bridge to join the new A30 duel carriageway. Continue past Honiton and exit at the slip road signposted "Dorchester A35". Follow the road up and over the A30 duel carriageway to the far end of the bridge and then turn right (
with care) to rejoin the A30 westbound, signposted "Exeter" (distance from start to the centre of the bridge over the A30 = 5.2 miles). Pass Honiton and exit the A30 via slip road signposted "Ottery St Mary".
Give way at the bottom of the slip road where turn left.
Finish at a point 101 yards before the parapet of the old railway bridge (approximately 200 yards before the start point).
DC Regulations: No U turns within the vicinity of the start or finish area. No parking in the lay-bys at the start or finish other than by the timekeepers. All breaches of the local regulations shall be reported in writing to the District Secretary. Start area: all competitors waiting their turn to start must remain inside the dotted line area of the lay-by. Any rider failing to do so will not be allowed to start. Return to the old A30: any rider crossing the white line when emerging from the A30 slip road onto the old A30 shall be disqualified from the event and reported to the District Committee who may then take further disciplinary action.
In the interest of rider safety, CTT and the event promoters strongly advise riders to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. All riders are advised to wear a rear LED light.
Event HQ: The Bowling Club, Feniton - turn off the old A30 at Patterson's Cross and then turn right (signed Old Feniton - Geen Lane). Please park in the car park and do not obstruct driveways. Riders riding to the start should turn left out of the hall and first left. At the T junction turn left and continue to the junction to join the old A30 at Patterson's Cross. Turn left to the start or right and then left to warm up. Please do not use any part of the course for your warm up. Return to the HQ by the same route.
