Stocksbridge is situated approx. 10 miles North West of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. If travelling on the M1, turn off at junction 35A and follow sign for Stocksbridge. At traffic lights turn right onto B6088 and continue. Follow until the clock tower (on left), direction signs to the h/q will be displayed from here.
Headquarters – Stocksbridge Scout Hut, Nanny Hill, Stocksbridge S36 where signing on, numbers and refreshments will be available, all proceeds going to the Scout Group.
Parking – On Nanny Hill or in the small car park opposite the start. NOTE – parking up the driveway to the Scout Hut is for officials only. There are numerous free car parks within the town, all signposted.
To the start – bottom of Nanny Hill, bear left (care), take 1st right (care) at the side of the Town Hall. Descend slightly and take exit to begin climbing out of the steelworks (Hunshelf Road). Follow road to Gate 4 of Tata Steel. NOTE – direction signs will be displayed on the day and allow a minimum of 5 minutes from headquarters to the start.
Course Details – start in lay-by near to Gate 4 of Tata Steel and proceed forwards bearing left into Pea Royd Lane, continue up the hill to finish just before brow of hill. Course length – 860 yards. DO NOT cut the corner at the finish (blind corner) as vehicles may be coming down, this will be marshalled.

After finishing – Please do not block the road for other riders. When descending the hill back to the H/Q take extreme care as the hill is very steep.
