Safety
Riders are advised to warm up off course. Please ride with your head up at all times, and respect the rules of the road as laid down in the Highway Code. Do not perform U-turns on the course within sight of the start and finish points. IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. In accordance with Regulation 15 ALL JUNIOR competitors MUST wear protective hard shell helmets. It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
Directions to the Start
Turn left out of the HQ and proceed to junction with the A53. Turn right to Shrewsbury; proceed south west to Espley Island (Hodnet). Carry straight over (2nd exit) and proceed to start as detailed above. Allow 20 minutes (4 miles) to get from the event HQ to start.
