RACE HEADQUARTERS. Great Bromley Village Hall, situated on the B 1029 in Great Bromley. The Village Hall is approximately 800 yards from the junction with Harwich Road (just off the A120 at Little Bentley) by ”The Old Courthouse Inn” in the direction of Great Bromley. PLEASE NOTE. The start location is approximately two miles from the Great Bromley Village Hall Please allow yourself at least 10 Minutes to ride to the race start at Little Bentley. RACE NUMBERS. The race numbers will only be available from Great Bromley Village Hall You will receive your race number when you sign on for the race. LONDON EAST DISTRICT SPECIAL LOCAL REGULATIONS WARMING UP: No riding along the course by competitors once the event has started MARSHALS: are placed to direct competitors off the main carriageway. They must not stand at the apex between the carriageway and the slip road but should be located at the commencement of the slip road. U TURNS: U Turns will not be permitted on courses or roads adjacent to Start and Finish areas while an event is in progress. Please note: breaking this Regulation, in the first case, may mean disqualification from the event. Further cases will be referred to the District Committee. The definition of a U Turn is defined as a 180-degree turn completed within the width of the carriageway whilst riding or astride the machine. RACE BODY NUMBERS: Will only be available from race headquarters and not at the start. TURBO TRAINERS: The use of Turbo Trainers is banned from all events with an a.m. start time CYCLE HELMETS: In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters (Colchester Rovers Cycling Club) strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. The use of a flashing rear light is also recommended.
