Brighton Mitre are again running their early season Hill Climbs and TT's. This week sees us returning to Mill Hill for our first event of the season.
Mill Hill is a great way to start your competition. Mill Hill is a long climb with quite variable gradient. The toughest part is just after the start where it briefly gets to 10% before levelling off a little. There are two downhill sections which can be quite fast. The road narrows in places so be careful of cars coming down. After 3 km, there is a sharp right hander (after downhill section) before final run to the line of 1.4km, averaging around 4%.
Entry is free for Mitre members and just £5 for non-members (cash please as no card facilities). No need to book, just turn up and pay on the line. Entries close at 18:50, first rider off at 19:01.
Electronic timing chips may be in use and if they are riders are responsible for returning their chip to the organiser at the end of the event. Riders will be liable for the cost of replacement for any chips lost or not replaced (£50 per chip). Time are provisional until confirmed as finalised by the organiser.
Please do not park in the start / finish area. This area is reserved for officials cars only. Please do not loiter in the road before or after the start / finish line.
