Registered User Terms and Conditions

  1. These terms and conditions apply to all those who are listed in paragraph 2 below and are in addition the terms which apply to all users of the CTT publicly available website outlined in our Website Usage Terms and Conditions.
  2. These terms and conditions apply to all persons (“registered users”) who:-
    1. register on CTT’s website so as to be able to enter a time trial for themselves or for their team or club members, or
    2. Enter, delete, amend or retrieve data on CTT’s website as event officials for the purpose of promoting time trials, or
    3. Enter, delete, amend or retrieve data on CTT’s website for the purpose of affiliating a cycling club to CTT, disaffiliating it, or managing its membership, and
    4. Are authorised on behalf of CTT to access start sheets and results sheets for the purpose of preparing the results of championships, or
    5. As data processors are authorised to access CTT’s website for the purposes of CTT generally including the preparation of publicity material including results forecasts, event summaries, results of events whether championship events or otherwise as well as preserving the results of events in perpetuity, or
    6. Are Board members or District officials or persons employed or engaged by CTT for the purpose of reviewing or formulating CTT’s policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with them and promoting the objects of CTT in Article 3 of its Memorandum of Association, or
    7. Take part, in whatever capacity, in disciplinary or eligibility decisions whether at an event or immediately following it, or a District Committee, a National Committee or any ad hoc or standing committee or tribunal.
  3. All persons to whom these terms and conditions apply shall comply:-
    1. with CTT's data protection policy. In particular they will only access and use data for the purposes for which it was obtained and recorded and will ensure that any data entered or amended by them is accurate and up to date,
    2. with the Rules and Regulations of Cycling Time Trials when taking part in or conducting or assisting in any way with the promotion of time trials including acting as club officials or committee members.
  4. A registered user shall not knowingly or negligently enter false or misleadingly incomplete data about their, or any other persons’, performance or eligibility including as to the gender class (Open or Female) in which they are entitled to compete.
  5. A registered user when entering an event is deemed to have agreed to abide by the terms on the printed signing on sheet on their own behalf and on behalf of any team members in a team time trial for whom they enter.
  6. Event officials who enter, amend, delete or retrieve data on CTT’s website for the purpose of promoting an event will necessarily download personal data as permitted by CTT’s website for the purpose of promoting an event including the preparation of the start sheets and results a sheets and emergency contacts. Some of this data will be printed or published for the event itself. Personal data may be held on the personal computer of an event official but must be held in accordance with the CTT’s data protection policy including time limits for certain data. All such data must be safeguarded so that only the event official or someone authorised by them can obtain access.
  7. No person to whom these terms and conditions apply shall use any data obtained from the CTT’s website for any commercial purpose or the promotion of cycling events not held under the Rules and Regulations of CTT, or to promote the use of their commercial services in any way including contacting riders or registered users, club or event officials, District or National officials.
  8. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential and agree not to share such a password with anyone.
