HQ Area: Garstang *

START on Garstang inner by-pass at northern side of entrance to Somerfield supermarket adjacent to curved section of footpath. Proceed northwards and straight on at Church Street mini-roundabout (Care) to bear left at mini-roundabout into Moss Lane. Continue along Moss Lane over canal bridge (Care) to junction with A6 across from The Flag Hotel (0.597 miles). Turn left on to A6 and continue south to TURN by entering lay-by opposite lamp-post No.54 on east side of road approx. 500 yards north of Broughton cross-roads (7. 561 miles). Retrace north along the A6 to Kirkland Bridge to turn left on to the A586 (13.146 miles). Proceed through St. Michaels to foot of Great Eccleston by-pass where bear left (17.533 miles) and continue through village to T-junction with A586 at top of by-pass (18.176 miles). Turn right (Care) on to the A586 and retrace through St. Michaels to junction with A6 at Kirkland Bridge (23.163 miles). Proceed north on A6 to FINISH approx. 200 yards south of traffic lights on Garstang by-pass at water grate in roadway which is two kerbstones south of entrance to disused farm gateway and 22 yards north of lamp-post No. 399 (25 MILES).
