Event HQ:
Bentley Memorial Hall, Hole Lane, Bentley, GU10 5LP
Riders 1 - 4 are in the TA (SW) Event.
(i) No bicycles / tricycles are to be taken into the hall.
(ii) Shoes with plates or cleats that could damage the floor are to be removed before entering the hall.
(iii) No Parking in Hole Lane adjacent to the Hall.
(iv) Numbers & Signing on will be at the HQ
(v) Numbers can be exchanged for refreshments after the race
How to get to the Start from the Race HQ (Approx 15 minutes riding time):
• Turn left at the X-roads and follow this road which runs parallel with the A31 – through Bentley Village;
• Proceed until joining the A31 via a slip road. Follow the A31 east for approximately ½ a mile to the junction (minor X-Roads) just before the Bull PH. Turn (GREAT CARE) across the dual carriageway – retracing along the A31 for approximately ¼ mile to the first lay-by (Start Point);
• On finishing continue to the same break in the carriageway. Turn (GREAT CARE) and proceed
along the A31 past the start point(CARE) and leave the A31 at the next slip road (signpost Bentley);
• Turn right at the ‘T’ junction and continue over the A31 to return to Bentley Memorial Hall.
Attention !!
In the interest of your safety, Cycling Time Trials and the promoting club strongly advise you wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an international accepted safety standard.
It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to your machine clearly visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
Rider Safety
All competitors under the age of 18 years and/or Juniors must wear a properly affixed helmet which must be of Hard/soft shell construction.
Local Regulations Applicable to this Course
Riders must only cross over to the other side of the A31 by using one of the breaks in the Central Reservation provided for that purpose. Any person associated with the event that is observed crossing to the other side of the Dual Carriageway by any other means will be reported to the Police and the London West District Committee of the CTT.
DC Regulations:
LWDC 2 Riders’ numbers shall be issued from the Headquarters
LWDC 4 No vehicles, except those of the Timekeepers, shall be parked at the Start or Finish.
LWDC 5 All breaches of Local Regulations shall be reported in writing to the London West District Secretary.
New Regulation
For safety reasons, riders’ hands must be on the widest part of the handlebar whilst rounding the Coxbridge Roundabout at the Farnham end of the A31. Those seen not doing so will be reported to the event secretary and disqualified.
