Event HQ: Challock Memorial Hall, Blind Lane, Challock TN25 4DH. To reach the hall from the Charing direction turn right at the Halfway House PH RAB onto the A251 and then 1st right into Blind Lane where the hall can be found after approx 200 yds on the left. From the Canterbury direction bear left at the Halfway House RAB and right into Blind Lane. From the Ashford direction turn left off of the A251 into Blind Lane approx 100 yds short of the Halfway House PB RAB.
Parking: All parking must be in either the Village Hall car-park area or the adjoining cricket field. Under no circumstances should cars associated with the event be parked in Blind Lane please – there is ample parking space within the confines of the HQ itself.
Numbers will be available in the HQ hall – please sign-on before taking your number. A free cup of tea/coffee/squash will be available upon their return.
Please keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbance to local residents – it is early on Sunday morning and they may not appreciate being woken unnecessarily.
Please remove cycling shoes before entering the hall.
Please do not perform u-turns in sight of the start/finish areas and please do not use these areas as public toilets – offenders risk disqualification for doing either of these.
The start is approx 2 miles from the HQ – turn right out of the HQ into Blind Lane, left at the end of Blind Lane and then right at the Halfway House PH RAB.
Rider feedback forms will be available at the HQ by the signing-on area and marshals or riders are free to use them to add your comments accordingly with regards to improving the safety of the course – please hand these to the event organiser after completion.
In the interests of your own safety Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a hard-shell helmet that meets an Internationally accepted safety standard. In accordance with regulations ALL riders under the age of 18 years MUST wear a recognised protective hard-shell helmet as previously described.
It is recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst the machine is in use.
Please do NOT warm up on the course once the event has started.
No rider should use a turbo trainer or rollers in the HQ parking area or adjacent roads and you will be asked to stop using them if found doing so. Failure to comply with this request risks disqualification from the event.
