HQ – Morley Village Hall.
Location:
From Thetford on A11, follow A11 around Attleborough by-pass and take first left after the Shell service station. At roundabout soon after leaving dual carriageway take first exit (London Road) and then first right into Golf Links Road. Village Hall is the first building along Golf Links Road.
From Norwich on A11, take slip road signposted to Spooner Row, turn right at junction to roundabout; take second exit (Right) on bridge over A11 and first exit at the next roundabout. At t junction turn left onto B1172 and proceed to next roundabout; turn right along London Road and the first right as from Thetford above.
BEFORE START
Route from Village Hall to Start, proceed south on Golf Links Road to T junction and turn right into London Road. Follow road westwards towards Attleborough.
AFTER FINISH – RIDERS PLEASE NOTE
After you finish after second circuit, carry on to next slip road (Attleborough), where turn left onto sliproad and right at top of sliproad. Cross bridge over A11 to turn first left and follow route to start in reverse for HQ.
Local Regulations:
8. U-Turns will not be permitted on the course or roads adjacent to the START or FINISH areas while a race is in progress.
Note: Any breaking of this regulation in the first case will mean
disqualification from the event. Further cases will be referred to the District Committee.
Definition: A U turn is defined as a 180 degree turn completed within the Highway whilst astride the machine.
(It is recommended that the rider(s) should dismount, check the road is clear in both directions, then with machine, walk across the road.)
11. Numbers and Signing on will be at the H.Q. and not at the start.
12. No warming up along the course by competitors once an event has started.
15. The use of Turbo Trainers is banned at all events with a.m. start times.
In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A WORKING REAR LIGHT, EITHER FLASHING OR CONSTANT, IS FITTED TO THE MACHINE IN A POSITION VISIBLE TO FOLLOWING ROAD USERS AND IS ACTIVE WHILST THE MACHINE IS IN USE.
